Ways and Means
Ways and Means Process - FAQ
Who can request funds through the Ways & Means Process? Any teacher or staff member who is a current CJHS PTO member (cost: $10) can make a request. Please encourage any colleagues who haven’t become members to do so. It is required to make a Ways and Means request.
How does this process work? This process has been moved to a function of Google Forms. You have been provided a link to the Request Form in the welcome letter. Funds are available October- March. You will need to be signed into your CCS staff email through the Google platform. Complete all required fields. Additional documentation to support your request AND the minimum 2 bids/proposals/price comparison will need to be emailed to cjhspto@clarkston.k12.mi.us on the same day as your Google Form submission. Once submitted, you will receive a copy of your responses.
Please refer to the deadline dates below. Forms and supporting documentation submitted after the deadline will be placed on the agenda for the next month’s meeting. No exceptions. No ASAP funding or backdated requests to support closely dated invoices.
Your request will be discussed, reviewed, and voted on during the monthly PTO general membership meeting. You will be notified of the result via email from Sharon Roush, Vice-President/Ways & Means, at the conclusion of the meeting.
Once my request has been approved, how will I receive my funds? Submit all receipts to Denise Cloutier sdcloutier@clarkston.k12.mi.us within 30 days of approval to receive reimbursement/payment. For the purposes of accounting, the CJHS PTO will make a donation in the amount of your approved request to Clarkston Jr High School. The CJHS PTO will update the administration with the list of approved requests. Please follow the building’s protocol for a check request or reimbursement. Be sure to include ALL costs in your request (shipping & handling for example) because the PTO will not accept any overages from the initial approved request.
Questions? Concerns? Need guidance or assistance? No Worries! Contact Sharon Roush anytime at cjhspto@clarkston.k12.mi.us. Please add “Ways and Means” in the subject line.
We are here to support and cheer for you as you live out your commitment to serving and educating our CJHS students. We thank you!
